The Power Facilitator
“The Power Facilitator” equips managers with a life-long skill driven by the 80/20 rule – achieving 80% of the results with 20% of the time and effort.
Most of us have to give presentations at some point in our career. While there are those that appear to have a talent for being fantastic presenters, some of us are less enthusiastic about these occasions. However, as managers, we do more than presentations – we need to facilitate team meetings, project management sessions, tele / video conferences, information sessions, strategy retreats and the list goes on.
In these settings, engagement and rapport building with the audience is required. In addition, there is less control on the timing and outcome. All of a sudden, presentation skills are no longer sufficient to meet the high demands of such events. The transition from a presenter to a power facilitator is a key capability of a great manager. From managing a dynamic environment, concurrent ongoing activities, questioning and answering techniques, time management to staying on track to handling a difficult group – facilitation skills are absolutely essential.
In this workshop, regardless of prior experience or skills levels, participants acquire an array of skills, tips and techniques to enable them to be a power facilitator. From small team settings to large group events, facilitation is an art that can be developed into a unique personal style – one that can be learnt, practiced and mastered.
